System audits

Audit of Liferay and Java systems

We examine systems based on Liferay Portal and Java technologies for performance, security, code quality and architecture. The result is a clear report with prioritised recommendations and an action plan.

Types of audit

What we examine

  • Performance

Analysis of response times, application and database bottlenecks, and environment configuration.

  • Security

Review of vulnerabilities, permissions, authentication and the currency of components.

  • Code quality

Assessment of readability, tests, technical debt and compliance with good practices.

  • Architecture

Verification of the solution’s structure, integrations and readiness for further development.

Process

How an audit works

We start by getting to know the system and the goals of the audit, then analyse the code, configuration, data and environment. We draw on our experience in building and maintaining Liferay portals and bespoke Java systems, so our recommendations are concrete and feasible.

You receive a report describing the state of the solution, the risks identified and a prioritised list of recommendations – split into quick wins and long-term actions. If needed, we implement the recommended changes.

Beyond a one-off audit, we also offer continuous security oversight – we use continuous information-security monitoring tools, so the systems report detected vulnerabilities on an ongoing basis.
